National Park

One of the highlights of Cosby is its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Mount Cammerer

The lower trail of Mount Cammerer is 15 minutes from Smoky Woods Lodge, this 11 mile round trip hike is well worth it for experienced hikers with endless views and a fire tower to explore at the top!

Maddron Bald Trailhead

10 Minutes from the Smoky Woods Lodge, Maddron Bald Trail is a 7.3 mile hike that passes through Albright Grove (3 miles in).  The trail is often paired with Gabes Mountain Trail and Snake Den Ridge to create a long loop hike from Cosby Campground.

Mouse Creek Falls

28 Minutes from Smoky Woods Lodge, this hike is a moderate 4-mile roundtrip hike to the waterfall!

10 Minutes from the Smoky Woods Lodge is Hen Wallow Falls, a 3-4 hour moderate hike to a waterfall in the Smokies.

 

Alum Cave Trail to Mount LeConte

40 min from the lodge, Alum Cave is known to be one of the best and most difficult trails as you hike to the summit of Mount Leconte.
